Ojo Michael Akindele was born in June 6, 1971 in Itapa Ekiti, Oye Local Government Area, Ekiti State, Nigeria. He had his primary and secondary education in Itapa Ekiti then had National Diploma in General Agriculture from Federal College of Agriculture Akure, Ondo State in 1992. He graduated from Federal University of Technology, Akure in 1999, with Second Class (Honour) in B. Agric. Tech. degree in Agricultural Economics and Extension. He obtained M.Sc. degree in Agricultural Economics from University of Ibadan in 2003. He later obtained his Ph.D in Agricultural Economics in 2013 from Federal University of Technology Minna. He joined the service of Federal University of Technology Minna, Nigeria in 2007. He is a Professor of Agricultural Economics and the former Deputy Dean, School of Agriculture and Agricultural Technology, Federal University of Technology, Minna. He has over 15 years of teaching and research experience in the area of Agricultural Production Economics with special interest in establishing and improving the efficiency and productivity of farmers with the aim of enhancing food production and security. He has conducted researches ranging from small, medium and large-scale farm production with the aim of identifying the factors and constraints that affect the food crop and poultry farmers production, productivity and efficiency in order to proffer solutions to them thereby increasing food security status of the people. He has supervised and still supervising undergraduate, Master and PhD students. He has over 80 publications covering his areas of research interest. He has also taught Introductory Economics, Introduction to Agricultural Economics, Agricultural marketing, Econometrics and Application of computer to agriculture at undergraduate level, Mathematical Economics and Advanced Statistics and Research Methodology at Postgraduate level. He is the current Deputy Dean, Postgraduate School, Federal University of Technology Minna, Nigeria.
